Electrical Engineer and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Chile (2019). His master’s thesis was about using Information Theory for understanding and training neural networks, and its application in Astroinformatics. Since 2019, Ignacio has been working as a Machine Learning Engineer in the ALeRCE Broker, developing classifiers of astronomical light curves and images. Since 2024, he has the role of Lead Engineer in ALeRCE.
